My Portfolio

Welcome to my professional e-portfolio. My name is John Kotsilidis, and I am a driven and motivated emerging business professional with strong interests in leadership, project management, and strategic development. This portfolio showcases the skills, experiences, and achievements that have shaped who I am as I prepare to enter the world of business.

My goal is to continue developing into a thoughtful, effective leader capable of contributing to organizational success while building meaningful professional relationships.

Professional Bio & Resume

I am a business-focused student at Central Michigan University, pursuing a degree that prepares me for a career grounded in leadership, communication, and organizational growth. Throughout my academic journey, I have worked intentionally to develop expertise in teamwork, problem-solving, and project execution.

My experience includes leading group projects, engaging in campus involvement, completing coursework related to business development, and contributing to collaborative environments where adaptability and strong communication are essential.

I’m passionate about continuous improvement—whether that’s learning new skills, embracing leadership opportunities, or gaining hands-on experience through internships and applied projects. As I continue to grow professionally, I remain committed to integrity, accountability, and a proactive mindset.

Selected Course Projects

  • Research-Based Presentation: Completed a data-supported analysis on a real-world organizational issue, focusing on causes, implications, and potential solutions. I researched about recycling and its overall impact at CMU.

  • Writing and Communication Projects: Developed professional-level essays and discussions tailored to academic and real-world audiences.

  • Collaborative Business Case Study: Me and my team came up with a plan to teach theirs about our Swiss based company. Overall, we worked together like a professional team scheduling meetings and proposing new ideas.

I’ve taken consistent steps toward developing myself professionally, including:

  • Attending CMU workshops on professionalism, communication, and workplace expectations

  • Practicing resume development and interview preparation

  • Gaining hands-on experience with business writing, research, and presentation skills

  • Using tools such as Excel, Google Workspace, and business analytics programs

Student Leadership

I regularly help coordinate roles, ensure clarity in communication, and keep team members on track with deadlines. These experiences strengthened my ability to manage responsibility, resolve conflict, and maintain high performance under pressure.

My short-term goals include:

  • Securing an internship or entry-level position that allows me to apply leadership and analytical skills.

  • Building a strong foundation in project management, operations, or organizational leadership.

  • Expanding my professional network within the business community.

Long-term, I aspire to hold a leadership role in a business environment where I can contribute to strategy, culture, and organizational success.
